Setting up e-mail pop/imap

In addition to email piping, Hdesk provides you with the ability to fetch incoming email from pop3/imap accounts. To add new accounts you will need to go to Mail parser ยป Email queues which is the first page you should access once your installation is done. Here we define how should Hdesk access the incoming email requests.

For every new email account you wish to be added to the support list, you must create a new email queue. Using the provided credentials, Hdesk will log in and fetch the emails from your mailbox. The emails will be transformed into tickets or added as replies to existing tickets, based on their type.

Before adding pop/imap accounts make sure they are functional by testing them with an email client such as Outlook or Thunderbird otherwise the email queue will not be able to fetch emails.
